1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PilotBrief ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PilotBrief provides aviation weather information including:

• METAR (Meteorological Aerodrome Reports)
• TAF (Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts)
• ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service) where available
• Airport information and runway data
• Flight category indicators (VFR, MVFR, IFR, LIFR)

3. User Accounts

Some features require a registered account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Scrape or harvest data without permission
• Redistribute our data for commercial purposes
• Impersonate others or provide false information

5. Data Sources and Accuracy

Weather data is sourced from:

• Aviation Weather Center (aviationweather.gov)
• NAV CANADA (for Canadian ATIS)
• FAA D-ATIS system (for US airports)
• OurAirports database (for airport information)

While we strive for accuracy, data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors. Always verify critical information through official sources.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PilotBrief and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PilotBrief shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Personal injury or property damage
• Errors in weather data or flight planning
• Service interruptions or data loss

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PilotBrief, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements provided by third parties, including Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
